This project is a three-channel video, that examines the phenomenon of "Suspension"in Chinese society, discussing how young people face and examine their own uncertainty and instability, as well as their psychological struggles in a fast-changing and highly competitive social environment, and attempts to arouse reflection and discussion among the young people about their current situation. In China with rapid economic development, "high integration" and high mobility, Young people in a "suspension" state (especially those born in the 90s and 2000s) do not face the present directly, but always want to move towards an elusive future. They suspend their subjectivity and become "liminal individuals", leading to expectations. The break with reality creates identity anxiety and loss, and one drifts in it. It is both a social status and a life strategy. The project has three parts. The protagonist as someone who transitions from rural to urban life after graduating from college, facing the perplexing anxiety of the future and continuously suspended in several liminal spaces.
